Is commercial air travel right for my patient?

Our medical director in consultation with the patient's doctor will recommend various medically appropriate options for the patient. [Back]

Logistical Questions:

How many family members can travel with the patient?

Family members may travel with the patient and Air Medical Network will make all the arrangements at no additional cost. The family member will be responsible for the additional airfare costs per person and ground transportation if transportation must be changed to accommodate the additional family members. [Back]

How much luggage can I bring?

Check the airline policy on number of bags allowed. Air medical Network will check when booking a specific airline and provide you with the additional information. Air Medical Network is not responsible for luggage lost or damaged by the airline. If weight or numbers of bags causes a charge the family member will be responsible for those extra costs. [Back]

How far in advance do I need to schedule the trip?

It is best to give us at least 24 hours notice if possible and if requiring more than six liters of oxygen, we will need at least 48 hours for the arrangements. Any oxygen order under six liters can be provided by Air Medical Network at a moment’s notice.  Doctor consultations must sometimes be flexible to your attending doctor's needs.  More notice can sometimes substantially reduce your cost.  Call 1 188-594-5999 for details.
